The following senryu was first published in Issue 111 (September 2025) of Failed Haiku. This was the last issue of Failed Haiku. This journal published many of my early senryu, which was a great encouragement to me. The editors’ tastes were very down-to-earth. This is the only journal that would publish something like below:
